Through the study of symbolism and abstract expressionism students will create watercolor paintings under the guidance of Long Island artist, Esther Marie. Students will understand how non-verbal language is manipulated to communicate a thought or an emotion. While creating, students will recognize the connections between geometry, math and art. The elements of art will be taught with a focus on line, shape and color.
